The ordering point
QR totems for hotels, beach clubs and pools. The QR code becomes a designed object, not a sticker.
The reason
It is the only part of Oorders a guest ever sees.
A black vertical plaque with rounded corners, compact and free-standing: it sits on the side table beside a lounger, on a restaurant table, in a room. The property's mark at the top, the invitation to order, the QR code for that location.
Everything else stays backstage: the menu, the routed orders, the staff devices. One thing remains in front of the guest, and it sits on a table beside them for the length of their stay.
If that thing is a laminated card or a sticker pressed onto wood, the guest reads something very specific about the property — and it isn't what you meant to tell them. In a five-star room, or on a teak deck facing the sea, the detail that is out of place is more visible than the ones that are right.
So the Oorders ordering point is not a print. It is an object, made to stay in view without asking for attention, and made to carry your mark rather than ours.
The object
Black, vertical, free-standing.
Totems are made and customised to the needs of the property.
- 01
The form
A vertical plaque with rounded corners on a black base: it stands on its own, with no bracket, no fixing and no cable. It moves with one hand.
- 02
Your mark at the top
The most visible part of the object is yours: the property's mark goes at the top. Oorders signs at the bottom, small.
- 03
The invitation to order
One line, in the languages you need: the guest understands what it is before wondering what it is.
- 04
The QR code for the location
Below the invitation, the code for that location, with its number. It is what makes the order arrive at the right address.
- 05
The Oorders signature
At the bottom, discreet: powered by oorders. The system introduces itself; it doesn't impose itself.
The areas
One totem per location, in every area.
- 01
Poolside
On the side table between two loungers, or on a cabana table. This is the area the object was made for: it stands outdoors with nothing to lean on.
- 02
On the beach
Beside the sunbed or on the umbrella's side table, carrying the location number. Collected in the evening, put back in the morning.
- 03
Restaurant and bar
On the table, where it takes less room than a menu holder and says more.
- 04
Rooms and suites
On the desk or the bedside table, where a compliments folder sits today. In a room the code can also live on a different support: we choose it with you, to suit the furniture.
- 05
Common areas
Lounges, terraces, rooftops, quiet corners: the best places in a property are the ones where nobody walks past to take an order.
Customisation
It carries your identity, not ours.
The totem is customised to the property: your mark at the top, the design coordinated with yours, the invitation to order in the languages you need, and the code and number of each individual location.
How many locations you need, and how to number them, is not decided at a desk. It is decided together, looking at the rows, the sections and the tables, and following the numbering you already use. The list of totems comes out of that mapping.
The rest — configuration and the details of how they are made — we look at together in the demo.
